Isaac Paredes has been assigned to the Naranjeros de Hermosillo of the Mexican Pacific League. The Detroit Tigers traded Paredes, along with catcher Alex Avila and left-handed pitcher Justin Wilson, to the Chicago Cubs on July 31, 2017, in exchange for a player to be named later.
Paredes, 25, is a native of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He was born on February 18, 1999, and signed with the Chicago Cubs as an international free agent in 2015.
Since signing with the Cubs, Paredes has had an outstanding season in 2024. He is batting .247 with 35 home runs and 116 RBIs in 162 games.
