Liverpool Assistant Coach Moves to King Power Stadium
Maresca Appointed on Five-Year Contract
Leicester City have appointed former Liverpool assistant coach Enzo Maresca as their new manager on a five-year contract.
The 44-year-old Italian succeeds Brendan Rodgers, who left the club last month to join Manchester City.
Maresca has been a key member of Liverpool's coaching staff since 2019, working alongside Jurgen Klopp.
During his time at Liverpool, Maresca has helped the club win the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.
He is highly regarded as one of the most promising young coaches in Europe.
Leicester City are confident that Maresca can lead them to success in the years to come.
"We are delighted to welcome Enzo to Leicester City," said Leicester City chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.
"He is a young, ambitious coach with a proven track record of success.
We believe that he is the right man to lead Leicester City into the future."
Maresca is excited to take on the challenge of managing Leicester City.
"I am honored to be appointed manager of Leicester City," said Maresca.
"This is a great club with a rich history and a passionate fan base.
I am excited to work with the players, staff, and fans to build on the success of recent years."
Leicester City will be hoping that Maresca can help them continue their recent success.
The Foxes have won the FA Cup in 2021 and the Community Shield in 2022.
They will be hoping to challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League this season.
Maresca will be officially unveiled as Leicester City manager on Wednesday.
